Made Unmade, photography and environmental art workshops with Tighnabruich primary school.
May 29, 2014
For the first visit to Tighnabruich primary school, we headed outdoors to make some artwork. In the morning, pupils we wandered along the shore at Tighnabruich, each person with an iPad to photograph whatever interested them or caught their atttention; details of the beach, wide landscapes, abstract close ups.
The rocks then became our outdoor classroom and temporary gallery as we looked at and discussed each pupils' photographs.
After lunch we returned to the beach, the pupils worked in groups collecting flotsam and jetsam to make sculptural installations at the tideline, on the shore, rocks or in the water.
