Made Unmade, experimental drawing workshops Tighnabruich Primary School.
June 5, 2014
In the previous sessions the pupils had made small postcard size observational drawings of the lanscape, photographed details of their local shore and marine landscape and made sculptures and installations from objects found on the beach.
Pupils began their large scale experiemnrtal drawings based on their iPad photos, in the gym hall floor on huge sheets of white fabriano paper & large sheets of brown wrapping paper, using colour pigments, conte, charcoal, crushed chalks and black ink.
The pupils made their own drawing tools from feathers, brushes from rope and twigs found on the beach, and dried 3ft Hogweed stems as dip pens to create beautiful expressive abstract drawings of the shore at the Kyles of Bute.
The drawings will be exhibited at Dunoon Burgh Hall as part of the Crofting Connections Exhibition, 12th June 2014 Dunoon Burgh Hall.
